The single eye shadows by Wet n Wild are little gems tucked away in my local Rite Aid. Although there is not a massive amount of variety when it comes to this particular product but the ones I have tried have not failed to disappoint.

They retail for $1.99 and I got two of them, Penny and Nutty.

Lets start with Penny. The color is what it says it is, a penny color. As soon as I swatched it, I thought of Expensive Pink by MAC. In the picture and in reality it looks a shade of brown but not when swatched.

Expensive Pink is pinkier while Penny has more of copper undertones.

The next one is Nutty. It is the most beautiful taupe color I have seen. I think this is going to become a staple in my everyday makeup. It is comparable to MAC's Satin Taupe.

To me Nutty is a tad bit frostier than Satin Taupe. However, on the eye they look almost the same.

I am highly impressed with these colors. I can not wait to try other singles by Wet n Wild, namely Brule!

I had never tried Wet n Wild eye shadows before. However, I had to try them after one of my favorite girls who makes videos on YouTube (Video link) raved about it. It is their eyeshadow palette called "Vanity".

The top three shades have shimmer while the bottom three are matte.

It is a great neutral palette which can also be dramatized. The dark matte shade is looking more reddish on camera than what it is. The matte white is a little chalky. However, the overall pigmentation is awesome. The smoothness and blend-ability can be compare to that of MAC shadows.

Numerous looks can be achieved with this palette. For $4.99 you cant go wrong. It was harder to find than I expected. It was sold out at CVS and I found a broken one at Walgreens. Today as I was passing by Rite Aid I thought I will give it a try and it was the last one they had.

Overall, I would highly recommend it.

Boutique.com is the new website launched by Google. It is all about fashion. It launched today so I have not spent alot of time browsing through it. However, from what I have seen it will be something amazing for normal people like us.

We can follow celebrities and see how they dress and they go on and buy the exact same thing. However, since most of that is not affordable it also gives the options of similar items in different price ranges.

I think it will be a great platform for people to set their trends. Also it will allow easy navigation to products on the internet.

I am looking forward to playing with it some more. I will write a detailed review in the coming weeks. :)

So for months and months I hear people rave about lip butters by Korres. I was waiting for my existing ones to finish and then I got one in Quince.

And after using it for a few weeks now I can say I get the hype. It is smooth and buttery and one of the few products that does not make my lips flake. It has actually improved the texture of my lips to a great extent as well.

My only gripe with this is that I hate putting my fingers in the pot. I am not sure if it comes in a lipstick form but I will be sure to try that next.

I like this particular one because it adds a hint of color without looking gooey.

Can not wait to try others! :)

Today is the first day that I realized its winters. I guess the day light saving along with temperature in mid forties was the trigger. So what did i do? I hoped online and searched for winter boots!!! :)

I looked through few websites and to say the least, I was overwhelmed. There are ankle boots, rider boots, casual boots, work boots, every kind of boots imaginable. The ones I really liked were highly impractical for my lifestyles, well I am sure people will be amused when I fall, head-first, running after my toddler in the park in my four inch ankle boots.

So I had to step back and analyse my situation. I love Uggs but the classic style looks slightly casual. However, when I was browsing through their website I stumbled upon these.

They are called Lynnea and available here. They are a beauty. They combine the comfort of Uggs with latest trends of clogs and studs. They are for $180.

The other ones are Annabelle, and look most exquisite.

I recently came across the brand called Ariat. They make the cutest western style books. I absolutely love this one (Show Baby Boot) but I fear that if I bring them into the house, my husband will ban me from buying any shoe for the rest of my life!! :)

Lastly, I was browsing through the Camper brand and I came across these. They are called the Lulu Ankle Boot and by far the cutest ankle boots I have seen. I have heard great things about this brand so it might be worth it to try them on.

Before making up my mind, I guess I will also make a quick run to my local Marshalls and DSW. They are the center of some very exquisite hidden treasures... uhm.. shoes!

This post is not beauty related (as you can tell from the topic) but I had to let out my frustration here. The story began when my mum decided to post some clothes for me. We have some religious based events coming up and so I decided lets order from my home country in Asia.

So my mum used DHL as opposed to USPS (because we thought it might be better!). Well we were wrong or what! The story starts well when the package took literary two days to arrive from overseas to my local office here in California. But the dismay begins when it has been two days since it is roaming on the truck. It just can not seem to get delivered! First day it was conveniently updated as "delivery attempted" when no delivery attempt was actually made. Second day it has been on delivery all night (apparently according to online tracking!). The customer service is polite but least bit helpful.

Compare the tracking and the time stamp on computer! Apparently deliveries are made all night! :)

What I am upset about this that why a simple a task from delivering a package has become a problem. A simple excuse given to me is that "the driver must have run out of time". Now that has happened for two days so either they suck at logistics or my parcel is not important enough.

After this incident I went online and read nothing but horrid stories about DHL. How dishonest the delivery people are and how packages are lost.

To say the least I am extremely disappointed. I would have expected this from USPS but in all honesty I have never had issues with them. They always deliver on time and can exactly tell me where my package is.

So today is day three and still no package. Apparently it is will be delivered today but we shall wait and see. Will it be another day in waiting and then conveniently excused as "we ran out of time".

I can not believe that a company such as DHL can be this irresponsible and get away with this kind of service. Never again!! However as a consumer I feel helpless and can do nothing but wait and wait!!

What do you guys think? What are your horror stories of DHL?
