These days there is a huge buzz about an inexpensive line of makeup called NYX. Most people have compared MAC eyeshadows to the NYX ones.

NYX is available at local beauty supply stores and drugstores like RiteAid, LongsDrugs, CVS etc or online at www.cherryculture.com or www.nyxcosmetics.com. If you cant find them anywhere else then ebay is sure to please you. :)

I swatched a few of the eyshades and i think the colors and nice and pigmented. However I would recommend using a primer under them to enhance the colour vibrancy.

Another famous product is their jumbo pencils and the most popular ones are in 'milk' and 'pots and pans'. They are a good base for eyeshadows but are abit sticky so hard to blend. Many fellow youtubers have used in their tutorials as well.

MAC Rose Romance Collection 2009

The newest collection from MAC is being released on 23rd April, 2009.

The collection is super pink, very summery and full of bright colors. Some of the items, like the pigments are a repromote. However the things I am most looking forward to is the beauty powders and the nordstorm quad. I love the colors in that, specially solar white...ehh.. i think that is what it is called.

But overall i think i will have to look at the collection in person before deciding what to buy.

MAC Sugarsweet Collection Tutorial

1) Use Urban Decay Primer Portion to prime the entire lid area.

2) Then use MAC Butternutty shadestick to cover the eye lid, going upto the brow bone to create an even base. Blend out using the 217 blending brush.

3) Start with the inner corner of the eye. Use aquavert eyeshadow and using 239 shading brush, gently pat the colour going mid way.

4) Use 242 shading brush and gently pat Stars n rocket eyeshadow in the outer corner of the eye, going mid way to meet aquavert. Pat los of colour. Dont go over the crease area.

5) Use exensive pink eyeshadow on the outer corner of the eye, going on the crease and use 217 brush to blend the colors.

6) Use texture eyeshadow to create depth in the eye by applying it on the crease and blending it.

7) Use naked lunch eyeshadow to highlight the brow bone. Take the brush all the way upto the inner eye corner and blend to remove any harsh lines. Then line the lower eyes with a 219 pencil brush. Use aquavert eyeshadow.

8) Use estee lauder smudge pencil in black eyeliner for both upper lid and waterline. Then use clinique mascara.

9) The complete look.

MAC Sugarsweet Collection Haul

The spring collection from MAC was Sugarsweet. The promo pictures were yummy!! Made me gain 5 pounds... hehe.. :) Anyways i went ahead and brought a few things. I have used them all now and my favourite so far is the Aquavert eyeshade. It is so fresh and such a nice unique colour, you can pair it with lilac shades or dark pinks and it looks great. I will do a few looks with them soon and post the links.

So hope you all got a chance to see the collection in person and get a few things of liking. :)
